[Job Summary]

Bear Robotics is a leading innovator in the field of AI-driven autonomous robots for the hospitality industry. As we expand our presence in the APAC region, we are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager with robust experience in Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting, and Tax Compliance across multiple legal entities in Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, and beyond. This role will oversee financial operations, ensuring alignment with US GAAP, IFRS, and Korean GAAP while maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the company’s growth trajectory.

You will work closely with the Head of Global Accounting and Tax and play a hands-on role in managing day-to-day accounting, tax compliance, and reporting activities across multiple legal entities in the APAC region. This is a critical position that will support Bear Robotics' continued expansion, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the APAC region.

[Main Responsibilities]

Month-End Close & Financial Statements: Oversee the month-end close process for APAC legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation.
Account Reconciliations: Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations for multiple APAC subsidiaries and ensure that all reconciliations comply with GAAP and company policies.
Financial Reporting: Ensure the accurate consolidation of financial results from all APAC entities, aligning with both US GAAP and local accounting standards such as IFRS and Korean GAAP.
Tax Compliance: Manage APAC region tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and corporate tax requirements in each jurisdiction.
Audit & Compliance: Lead the internal and external audit processes for the APAC region, ensuring the company meets all regulatory and compliance requirements.
Financial Controls & Processes: Design, implement, and maintain effective financial controls and processes in line with corporate policies and local regulations.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Engineering, to provide financial insights, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth in the APAC region.
Strategic Analysis: Provide monthly and quarterly analysis of operating results for APAC entities, update financial forecasts, and assist in strategic decision-making.
Cost Management: Assist in product pricing decisions through analysis of actual and projected costs, and optimize cash flow and working capital across the region.
Finance Transformation: Oversee finance transformation initiatives to drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and implement best practices across the global finance team.
Scalable Global Processes: Build and enhance global accounting and financial reporting processes that can scale with the business as Bear Robotics expands into new markets and regions.

[Supervisory Responsibilities]

Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the APAC accounting team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Hiring & Team Development: Actively participate in hiring new team members and ensure the development and growth of existing staff.

[Required Experience & Qualifications]

International Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and Korean GAAP, with experience managing accounting and reporting in multiple legal entities across APAC.
Regional Tax Compliance: Extensive experience managing local tax compliance, including corporate tax, VAT, and GST filings, across various APAC countries.
Consolidation & Multi-Entity Reporting: Proven experience in consolidating financials across multiple subsidiaries and handling cross-border accounting complexities.
ERP & Financial Systems: Proficiency in NetSuite ERP and experience using tools such as Avalara, Concur, Salesforce, and Google Workspace.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with teams across multiple time zones and countries, coordinating closely with finance teams in the US, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy, precision, and continuous improvement of financial processes.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Adaptability & Self-Motivation: Highly driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

[Preferred Experience & Qualifications]

Experience in Manufacturing, AI, or Tech industries.
Familiarity with accounting for SaaS or subscription-based models and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

[Education/Experience]

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
7+ years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position managing accounting teams across multiple legal entities in the APAC region.
Experience in a high-growth, multinational company, preferably within the robotics, technology, or manufacturing sectors.
