[Main Responsibilities]

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of hands-on experience in procurement operations, preferably in a manufacturing, technology, or robotics environment. This position will be based in Korea and will work closely with our Korea-based operations and global teams.

  • Establish Procurement Operations Processes: Develop, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end procurement processes, from purchase requests to purchase orders to vendor payments.
  • Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with vendors, monitor performance, and manage ongoing compliance with Bear Robotics' policies and quality standards.
  • Purchase Order (PO) Management: Oversee all PO creation, approval workflows, and documentation to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely processing.
  • Spend Visibility and Reporting: Develop dashboards and regular reporting to track procurement spend, vendor performance, cost savings, and process efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure procurement aligns with Bear Robotics’ overall business objectives.
  • Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline procurement processes through ERP systems and other procurement tools.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Support Global Procurement Strategy: Work with global teams to align Korea procurement operations with broader global sourcing strategies.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Initially an individual contributor role, with the potential to build and lead a small team as procurement operations scale.
    • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on procurement processes and policies.



[Required Experience & Qualifications]

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement operations, purchasing, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or process ownership role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement workflows (PR/PO/invoicing) and related controls.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferably).
  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to work with spreadsheets, dashboards, and procurement reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated process improvement mindset, with a track record of driving efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and stakeholders across different teams and geographies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Korean and strong working proficiency in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving needs.

[Preferred Experience & Qualifications]

  • Advanced degree (MBA, master’s in supply chain) is a plus.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or hardware technology company.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing and international procurement processes.
  • Experience with vendor audits and quality control processes.
  • Process automation or system implementation experience.
  • Procurement certification is a plus.
